#OnThisDay 1923 In Cahirciveen, Kerry, five IRA prisoners were taken from their ‘prison’ by soldiers of the Dublin Guard, tied to the barricade, shot in the legs & a mine detonated. The dead were: Michael Courtney Eugene Dwyer Daniel Shea Willie Riordan John Sugrue
