#OnThisDay 1921 Joseph Tormey & Patrick Sloane, IRA from Westmeath were shot dead in Ballykinlar prisoner camp for standing too close to the wire fence. An inquiry ruled it ‘justifiable homicide’. Tormey’s brother James was killed two weeks later in an ambush.
