#OnThisDay 1921 Constable Robert Boyd (not in pic), from Banbridge Down, was shot dead while off duty&drinking in Mrs Moran’s bar in Cappawhite, Tipperary. Mrs Moran’s niece was hit in the leg by a ricochet. Afterwards two businesses in the town were set ablaze in reprisal.
