#OnThisDay 1921 IRA Volunteer Thomas Traynor was hanged in Mountjoy Prison. Traynor, a boot-maker and father of ten, fought in 1916 & shared a cell with Sean MacEoin. He was captured during an ambush on Auxiliaries on Brunswick St, Dublin. He is one of ‘The Forgotten Ten’.
