#OnThisDay 1916 The Irish Republic flag flew over the GPO. It was raised by Eamon Bulfin, an Argentinian born Volunteer (whose father was from Offaly). He was sentenced to death but was commuted because of his nationality.He was deported after time in Frongoch.
