#OnThisDay 1921 Thirty Kerry IRA men ambushed a train carrying 30 soldiers from the Royal Fusiliers at Headford train station. Despite a train mounted machine gun the IRA killed 9 & wounded 12 but lost 2 themselves including their Commandant, Daniel Allman.
