#OnThisDay 1923 Liam Deasy, IRA O.C. First Southern Division was captured by FS troops near Clonmel. Deasy had fought in major engagements like Crossbarry against the British &was present at Béal na mBláth. He avoided execution by ordering his men to surrender.
