Auxiliary Major John MacKinnon Kills Two IRA Men, Kerry 1920

#OnThisDay 1920 Auxiliary Major John MacKinnon, “the Scourge of Tralee” shot two IRA Volunteers, John Lean & Maurice Reidy, in Mrs Byrne’s home. He then burned her house down as a warning to all. Mackinnon was shot in April by an IRA sniper while playing golf.
