Dillon’s Cross Ambush, Cork 1920

#OnThisDay 1920 IRA ambushed a patrol of Auxiliaries at Dillon’s Cross, Cork, not far from Victoria Barracks. They threw grenades at the Crossley the Auxies were travelling in, killing one & injuring 12. The Auxiliaries burnt Cork in revenge.
