#OnThisDay 1864 Cork-born Major General Patrick Cleburne was one of six Confederate generals killed during the Battle of Franklin, Tennessee. The battle was known as the ‘Pickett’s Charge of the West”. The Army of Tennessee was essentially destroyed here.
