The 38th (Irish) Brigade in the Battle of Sangro River 1943

#OnThisDay 1943 The Irish Brigade & the 4th Armoured Brigade attacked the German Army at the Battle of Sangro River, Italy. The tanks were held up by mines at first so the Inniskillings & Irish Fusiliers took their objective &broke the German winter line.
