Sub-Lieutenant The Right Honourable Francis Annesley Shot Down over North Sea 1914

#OnThisDay 1914 Sub-Lieutenant Francis Annesley, 6th Earl Annesley from Castlewellan, Co. Down, was shot down over the Flanders coast and never seen again. Serving with the RNAS, he had fought in the defence of Antwerp but later had left by plane.
