#OnThisDay 1920 Charles Lynch, a 70 year old man from near Miltown Malbay, Clare was shot dead by a soldier in the Royal Scots. Lynch was trying to prevent two soldiers looting his house. The Army & Black and Tans then burned the Lynch home.
