#OnThisDay 1922 The IRA attack Kenmare, Kerry. The IRA kill Tom ‘Scarteen’ O’Connor, O/C of the Free State soldiers in the town & his brother, John. They captured 120 Free State troops, 110 rifles & 20,000 rounds of ammo. They later release the FS troops.
