The Battle of Dungan’s Hill 1647

#OnThisDay 1647 An Irish Confederate Army was destroyed at the Battle of Dungan’s Hill. Marching to Dublin, they were intercepted by a Parliamentarian army, the Irish were surrounded in a wheat field, cut off from their cavalry and 3,000 of them were killed.
