#OnThisDay 1870 Irish poet, artist & suffragist Eva Gore-Booth was born in @LissadellHouse Sligo. Eva campaigned in abolishing the death penalty & helped overturn her sister, Constance Markiewicz’s sentence to life imprisonment after the Easter Rising.
