Michael O’Riordan, Communist Party of Ireland passed away 2006

#OnThisDay 2006 Michael O’Riordan passed away. O’Riordan, from Cork, fought in Connolly’s Column against Fascism in the Spanish Civil War but was wounded & repatriated back to Ireland. He became the secretary general of the Communist Party of Ireland in 1965.
