#OnThisDay 1919 Seán Hogan celebrated his 18th birthday by being rescued from police custody by his friends following gun fight on a train with RIC. This was known as the Knocklong Ambush/Rescue. Two RIC were killed & both sides had wounded (Breen & Treacy).
