#OnThisDay 1916 Edward ‘Ned’ Daly from Limerick,was executed in Kilmainham Gaol. He told his sister, Kathleen Clarke, before his death that he was “glad and proud to die for his country & that he knew the week’s work would bring new life to Ireland.” He was 25.
