Michael O’Hanrahan Executed in Kilmainham Gaol 1916

#OnThisDay 1916 Michael O’Hanrahan, a novelist from Wexford, was executed in Kilmainham Gaol. His last words to Fr. Augustine as he was led out to the Stone Breakers’ Yard to be shot were:

‘Father, I’d like it if you saw my mother and sisters and consoled them’
