Irish on Both Sides of Easter Rising 1916

Irishmen fought on both sides of the Easter Rising. They made up 35% (41 / 117) of the British military deaths incurred during the Rising and 29% of the wounded (106/ 357). Below are officers from the Royal Irish Regiment with the captured Irish Republic flag.
