Rose MacNamara was Vice- Commandant of the Cumann na mBan detachment in the Marrowbone Lane garrison during Easter Week. When the garrison surrendered, Rose & the women were told to leave but they demanded to be arrested & they sang all the way to Richmond Barracks.
