#OnThisDay 1893 Dick McKee, OC of Dublin Brigade was born in Dublin. McKee fought in the Rising at Jacob’s Factory. During the WoI, McKee helped set up Collins’s Squad. On Bloody Sunday, McKee was tortured and murdered in Dublin Castle by Auxiliaries ‘while trying to escape’.
