Eithne Ni Cumhaill (centre) from Donegal, helped set up Cumann na mBan branches in Roscommon. Arrested for spying on RIC barracks, Eithne spoke Irish & read the newspaper during her trial as she didn’t recognise the court. She was imprisoned in Mountjoy & escaped.
