#OnThisDay 1778 Robert Emmet, the Irish nationalist & revolutionary leader was born at 109 St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin. Emmet’s abortive rebellion in 1803 saw him captured & executed for high treason. The whereabouts of his remains are still unknown.
