#OnThisDay 1661 Oliver Cromwell’s body was exhumed, dragged through the streets of London, hanged in chains at Tyburn, beheaded & his body thrown into a pit. His head displayed on a pole on the roof of Westminster Hall until 1685.

A great day for the parish.
