#OnThisDay 1896 Mathew Brady (last pic), the father of photojournalism passed away. Born to Irish emigrants in New York, his Civil War photography is famous. He photographed generals, soldiers & US presidents. His photo of Abraham Lincoln is used on the $5 bill.
