#OnThisDay 1922 Ten Monaghan footballers were arrested by B-Specials in Tyrone en route to a match in Derry. The footballers were senior IRA including Dan Hogan, the commander. This was a front as they were actually planning to break 3 IRA men out of Derry jail.
