Rathcormac Massacre, The Tithe War 1834

#OnThisDay 1834 Between nine and twenty poor farmers were shot dead in Rathcormac, Cork by British Army soldiers collecting tithes during the Tithe War. This money were to be paid to the Church of Ireland of which the Roman Catholic tenants were not members.
