#OnThisDay 1967 Florence O’Donoghue passed away. Florrie was head of intelligence for No.1 Cork Brigade IRA. He remained neutral during the Civil War, hoping to end the hostilities peacefully but this did not occur. He later served in the Irish Army as a major.
