The 1918 Election

#OnThisDay 1918 Sinn Féin had a landslide victory winning 73 of 105 Irish seats in the election. Constance Markievicz was the first woman elected to Westminster. Sinn Féin abstained & established Dáil Éireann on the same day the War of Independence began.
