#OnThisDay 1921 1,700 Republican prisoners are released from Ballykinlar POW camp in Down after the Treaty was signed. Trains brought them to Dublin & then home. Some trains were attacked by loyalist mobs & Vol Declan Horton was killed by a bomb in Thurles.
