#OnThisDay 1941 Lt Eoin McGonigal was KIA during a parachute drop in a storm in North Africa. McGonigal was born in Ireland, educated in Clongowes, was best friends with Blair ‘Paddy’ Mayne & was one of the original members of L Detachment/SAS.
