#OnThisDay 1649 Eoghan Ruadh Ó’Néill died. O’Neill returned to Ireland during the War of Three Kingdoms & was made the commander of the Ulster Army & had great success at Benburb in 1646.He may have been a worthy adversary to Cromwell but died too soon to know.
