#OnThisDay 1922 Ernie O’Malley, was captured by the Free State Army following a shootout on Ailesbury Road, Dublin during which O’Malley was shot 20 times. He killed a soldier but also shot Anno O’Rahilly, (The O’Rahilly’s sister) in the face but she survived.
