#OnThisDay 1920 Denis “Dinny” Lacey & the Third Tipperary Brigade flying column attacked a British army patrol (Northhamptons) between Thomastown & Kilfeacle killing three & wounding six. Two days later British forces would burn Tipperary town in reprisal.
