#OnThisDay 1952 Marine PFC John Patrick White from Kerry, Ireland was taken prisoner by the North Korean Army during battle of Bunker Hill near Chorok-Tong and was never heard from again. Two years later, on St. Patrick’s Day 1954, White was declared dead. His remains were never recovered.
White moved to New York at 19 & enlisted in the Marines there.
