#OnThisDay 1961 Corporal Michael Nolan (left) & Trooper Pat Mullins (right) were killed by mercenaries in an ambush on their armoured car in Katanga, Congo while serving as UN Peacekeepers. The body of Trooper Mullins, from Limerick, was never recovered.
