#OnThisDay 1864 The Union & Confederate armies fought the Battle of Atlanta. Each army had a General from Cork present. Brigadier General ‘Fightin’ Thomas Sweeny (Left) & Major General Patrick Cleburne (Right). The Union Army won & besieged the city until September.
