Fr. Mogue Kearns & Col. Anthony Perry Hanged in Edenderry, Offaly 1798

#OnThisDay 1798 Two leaders of the United Irishmen, Fr Mogue Kearns & Colonel Anthony Perry were hanged in Edenderry, Offaly. Both had fought at Vinegar Hill, escaped & made their way north. Kearns had allegedly escaped a lynching mob in Paris in the Revolution.
