#OnThisDay 1916 The first Crown casualty of the Easter Rising is Constable James O’Brien (Uniform-pic on left). He was shot by Sean Connolly (right pic) after barring their entrance to Dublin Castle. Moving into City Hall, Connolly was killed by a sniper shortly after.
