#OnThisDay 1940 The Irish vessel ST Leukos was sank by German submarine U-38 off Tory Island to the north of Donegal. Mystery surrounded its sinking for decades but it is believed that the St Leukos tried to ram the sub to prevent it firing on other ships. #Ireland #History
