#OnThisDay 1920 Captain Timothy Madigan, an IRA Volunteer was shot dead by the Black & Tans. He had been on the run for some time and decided to visit his home at Clashganniff House, Shanagolden, Limerick over the Christmas. He was 23 years old. #Ireland #History
