Constance Markievicz and 73 Sinn Féin Politicians became elected members of the UK House of Commons 1918

#OnThisDay 1918 (28th December) Following the results of the recent election, all 73 Sinn Féin candidates became elected Members of Parliament including the first woman ever to be elected to the British House of Commons, Constance Markievicz. They did not take their seats.
