#OnThisDay 1920 Martin Conway (pic) & four other IRA Volunteers were killed by Black & Tans as they raided a dance in Cahirguillamore House, Limerick which was to raise funds for the Bruff IRA. 150 men and 90 women were taken prisoner by the Crown Forces who beat them mercilessly.
