Eoghan Ruadh Ó’Néill, Commander of the Army of Ulster passes away 1649

#OnThisDay 1649 Eoghan Ruadh Ó’Néill died. O’Neill returned to Ireland during the War of Three Kingdoms & was made the commander of the Ulster Army who had great success at Benburb. O’Neill may have been a worthy adversary to Cromwell but died too soon to know.
