#OnThisDay 1915 Albert Cashier, an American Civil War veteran from Louth passed away. Albert served in the 95th Illinois Regiment, fought in major battles, was captured, escaped & honourably discharged. Albert was born a female called Jennie Irene Hodgers. Albert maintained this male lifestyle till his death, despite his secret being found when in hospital.
