The Manchester Martyrs 1867

#OnThisDay 1867 The rescue of Fenians Thomas Kelly & Timothy Deasy took place in Manchester. A policeman was killed & the prisoners freed. Three men, Allen, Larkin & O’Brien were later convicted & publicly hanged for their role & would be known as the Manchester Martyrs.
