#OnThisDay 1921 A Truce came into effect ending all hostilities between the IRA and British forces in Ireland. Crowds assemble outside the Mansion House in Dublin to witness the signing on July 9th. Within a year hostilities will begin again in the Civil War. #Ireland #History
