#OnThisDay 1917 Four soldiers from Ballymoney, Antrim were sheltering in a shell hole when they were hit by a shell. Three were killed outright. The fourth, G. Wales, survived only to be killed a year later at Cambrai. The dead: J McCoubrey W Wade J Hanna

I'm David, I'm from Ireland. I am an avid fan of history. I have my B.A. in History, my M.A. in Military History and Strategic Studies,a Post Qualification Diploma in History and I've been teaching History for five years now.
